Have Fun with Bunnies!
This weekend may be a good time to make a thing you want to have - but you don't want to buy! For anyone who spends many hours a day googling, blogging, designing, reading, staying on computer screen - a WRIST PAD/PILLOW will help taking care of your tired wrist. :o)
Sewing a Bunny for using as a wrist pad/pillow, and it can also be used as paper weight which is will take care of your book or paper nicely with its soft skin (cloth+sand). Moreover, the bunny can be used as a pin cushion, too. Wow, it's very useful and very cute!

Create Yourself An Unique Journal
Today, I would like to introduce you a few tips to turn your plain-white sheet journal to something cool - and fits your style. There is no fixed figures, fixed forms, only you let your mind free and express yourself through color pencils and ink on the paper.
I like making my own calendar tables - each moth, each year: for taking note about my work deadlines, appointment 'date and time', and any remarks to remind myself.

Headphone Keeper
A couple of hours was spent to sketch and design which pattern to go for a headphone keeper. Finally, I came up with the most potential one for a good look, and seemingly - a practical use. I can't promise this one will work out 'very well' for now... I'm going to use it to see if it really works for this purpose then I will make another one for you, E.M. :o)
To make one, it takes you to sew for about half an hour. Then filling up this little donut with polyester fabric (which you make it into small puffy pieces). Pick the fabric and color you like and make one for your headphone. Keep it nice, keep it thick, keep it yours - you'll proud of this little soft and stylish device.

It's not just a bag

It's not just a bag. Well, it technically is a bag, but I call it that way because it's not just a bag. I started made this back when I got to write my thesis which caused me a lot of stress and tiredness to my brain. I took a break every a few hours to sew this bag and it had been a month to finish it. For any friends who might be worrying about my work, well I first finished my thesis and later on --the bag. :o)

iPod Keeper
Another small bag, easy to make, simple style, low cost, but high value I made, hehe. :o) For a specific need, I made it for my iPod touch. Well, I was just thinking and writing something about green and being friendly to environment and low carbon stuff and activities. But this is something I doubt about, all techno equipment that are produced leaving toxic waste and polluting nature. Weighing in my heart, I hope that it would not be too bad to keep this joy, but stay being careful and considerate to use all things, always.

Naomi's new buddy

I was thinking of doing some things for my best friend, Naomi, to give her as a present before her leaving to the States. As she wants to have a sporty bag to keep her stuff going to a gym, so I decided to make one for her. Well, though, the material I chose doesn't fit well to prevent it being stained and wet, the color and design are nice. She likes it too and she actually helps with the design. :o) Now she is living in NY, I miss her very much and hope that while she is walking to work or else where the bag is with her; to make her happy and feel warm at heart. I think Bangkok misses her, well well... we all miss her.

Beauty in a small thing!
This weekend, I would like to introduce you a fun artistic activity, making a rubber stamper! It's very easy to create one and then you can use to stamp, showing many colorful shapes and pictures on any paper, journal, letter, card, and vice versa. What you need are only: an eraser (it could be a new one or used one, and you don't really it anymore), a cutter, and ink pens.
(1)
Start with thinking of any kind of figure you like and then draw on the eraser, which you have cut it in to a small bar already. Use the cutter cutting on the line you drew sharply, but remember that it should not be to deep and too shallow, then cut off the rest - around the shape that you want. Then prepare your ink pens!
I've created here as a sample. You might use any color that you like painting on the eraser then stamp on any paper-based objects you like. Most of the shapes I did are about nature, such as flowers, leaves, and a mushroom.

(3)
Many kinds and color of pens that you can use, and actually I believe they are rolling in your bag, or on your working desk. You have had it. So it's good you don't have to buy, na. :o)
You can use than one color to create your own style on the paper, OR you can mix the color within one stamper! That will help you to create a different perspective. Please see the following pictures.

Saturday Afternoon With The Painted Spoons
Almost throwing away these spoons, which is made from some material from inactive mine. My friend gave to me. She says someone bought it from Laos and gave to her. We can't use them, touch the food. I don't think so. Painting and keeping them that's more lovely idea. ;o)
Well, Acrylic color is perfect for this job, making the paint stay on the spoon permanently. I chose this color is because the meaning of the color. Passionate love, strong and power for Red, and Wisdom, calmness, fresh, and courage for Turquoise.
I painted the spoons while listening to Amos Lee's song, 'Black River',
Whoa...Black River.... You're gonna take my bottle, my bible, my mess.
You're gonna take all of my empty and my loneliness.
Gonna take all of the sadness inside of me,
gonna take it all and set me free.
With the slow music and his wonderful voice, that was so relaxing, and calm moment. Doing some crafts I think it is giving me such a good feeling and 'yes, it somehow sets me free, takes away my loneliness, takes away my tear.'
I survived this Saturday, with the rescue by painting the spoons. Otherwise, my mind must fly away to someone... I need to gain some strength. Need some courage to face and deal with my mind. Get over it wisely... :o)

Red Bag
After the tragic incident in May 19, 2010. I was so depressed and sad, took a time off from the internet and made this bag. Thank to Pom, my roommate who currently bought a new sewing machine. For me, with a lot of helps from the machine, my two roommies (Pom and Som)'s ideas and my two hands - putting together, now I have a new bag for my laptop kha. :)
It's not a master piece, and I spent about three days to finish it. I didn't plan it very well; that's my style. I just pulled out the fabric and started to cut it, try to measure the width and length from the side of my labtop, then cut and sewed. My roommie always criticize how unorganized I am, but well I keep doing it and at the same time thinking of 'Julia Child.' She is wonderful person (as I read and see her youtube video clip), her chilly style and positive aura impressed me. While she is cooking food, she is happy to all right acts and mistakes. So am I. But I didn't cook, and I'm not good at cooking at all, jut this little handicraft things that I'm always happy to create one.

'Frog face or Owl face?'
Making a box and paint it with your own style. Unfortunately, my friend made this paper-box then painted it black. She gave me and we both tried to make it nicer somehow. One afternoon, we started painting it with a light blue-green 'turquoise' color, which need to mix with glue before you can paint it.
You put the glue in a small plastic bag, then cut the end to make a very small hole. Kinda look like you are gonna do decorate a top of some cake. The glue perfectly give you feel like it, as some cream but it's not edible.
You can just go by your hand freely, painting a free-planned shape or you can draft first with your pencil on surface of the box.
Look at what I have, I just went freely with no plan in mind. Actually, I had, likely to make like a rose flower shape when you look from the top. But well, it turns out to be like a frog face. My friend told me it is a owl face.... Still, nice.
This glue mixed with acrylic color will give you a permanent element; if you paint the glue or some well-absorbed material it will stick permanently. But if you paint on some solid and slippery material it will be like just a sticker that you can take it off later when you don't feel like having it anymore. Be aware that the color you have at first will become darker a bit after the water dried out from the glue. So be careful when you mix the color with the glue, to be able to have your color right.
Here a handydrive or thumpdrive, P'Ting, my friend paints. She also paints on her boyfriend's labtop as well, and it turns out great!
Let's have some fun activity; glue + acrylic + a plastic bag + looking for something you wanna make it different and nicer + then go ahead!! :o)
Traveling Set
Thinking of my friends asking me why I have so many things in my (big) bag which has inside other smaller bags. And most of them are flowers-printed cloth. Well, I don't know. I like it. The big bag for put everything inside; there are a smaller bag for my mp3, my pens, my money, coins, and my cellphone, and my water bottle, etc.
This one is a new made for a scrabble - traveling set. 'Red and yellow' color seem to be fit and getting along together for this one. It's not difficult at all to make one. Try!

It's feel good to become myself again
Spent about one day and a half to finish this handbag, with the great help of my wonderful friend, P' Ting. Also, with the great inspiration and support from other friends.
"You can do it, you can do it." Pi Ting said. She has done making a number of handmade stuff for many years: bags, wooden box, curtain, bed cover sheet, etc. She's artist, painter, and beloved friend of mine.
Two days ago, she, her boyfriend and I went to the big market and bought some fabric, the style that I like. I fell in love at the first time with the green flowers fabric, and then I was looking for other color to fit with it. Found this yellow, not to bright and not to gray. I love it. The cost to make it doesn't expensive at all, so far I can calculate it shouldn't be more than 150 baht. My labor doesn't count, however, I'm so proud to have made it.
Started designing, cutting, sewing, since Tuesday afternoon until late at night. While I was sewing and watching a DVD of Jason Mraz's Beautiful Mess concert at the same time, my heart thought of someone. I wish he could be with me, reading book, doing whatever he likes, and I was sewing and we were talking. I love thinking of that scene, warm and lovely moment.
Well, in reality, it was only me and two cats beside me. I was sewing my beautiful bag, and my tear began to drop. I missed him so much...
Til 2am in the morning, I was so tired then go to bed. A few hours later, I woke up and I knew the bag waited for me to care and love, and touch. A few hours more on Wednesday, I completed the bag which I will carry around with me all the time. P'Ting doesn't only help me to make a bag but also give me a new friend, a new buddy in my life.
Ultimately, I feel so good afterall. I'm feeling that I became myself again. Once long time ago, I loved to make myself stuff but with my study and my busy schedule, and other boring reasons -- I gave up to let myself enjoy the time of my eyes looking at my two hands to create stuff. Now I feel like I'm back! I feel so good. Thanks to my friends, thanks to the kitties to be with me through the night. I wasn't alone in this house, not either in this world.
