Four sets of washable menstrual pads, come with cloth bags for you to keep the pads dry and clean. When you have a period, for one person, 2-3 sets should be enough. However, it depends how often you wash them for the next use. This is an only initiative and practical action for anyone who would like to buy or to make some pads for themselves - it is very easy to make and to use them. It is very friendly for our environment and the world; we can actually help reducing uses of deposable stuff!

A Simple But Powerful Story About 'Grass': A Smell of Happiness

First of all, I want to thank June, my best friend who gave me a magazine 'Think - Creative Thailand' to me to read. Also, thanks to Pi Ting who sparks and shares ideas and knowledge, which are simple but so powerful.
Many of you might have read and known about this story already, but you forgot it. Thus, I would love to tell this again about a simple but wonderful little thing about 'grass.'
Scientists claim the smell of freshly cut grass can relive stress, make you fell happy, and could prevent mental decline in old age. They claim the lawn's smell works directly on the brain, in particular the emotional and memory parts. Now, some people have developed a perfume, which 'smells like a freshy-cut lawn.'

Have Fun with Bunnies!
This weekend may be a good time to make a thing you want to have - but you don't want to buy! For anyone who spends many hours a day googling, blogging, designing, reading, staying on computer screen - a WRIST PAD/PILLOW will help taking care of your tired wrist. :o)
Sewing a Bunny for using as a wrist pad/pillow, and it can also be used as paper weight which is will take care of your book or paper nicely with its soft skin (cloth+sand). Moreover, the bunny can be used as a pin cushion, too. Wow, it's very useful and very cute!

Create Yourself An Unique Journal
Today, I would like to introduce you a few tips to turn your plain-white sheet journal to something cool - and fits your style. There is no fixed figures, fixed forms, only you let your mind free and express yourself through color pencils and ink on the paper.
I like making my own calendar tables - each moth, each year: for taking note about my work deadlines, appointment 'date and time', and any remarks to remind myself.

Headphone Keeper
A couple of hours was spent to sketch and design which pattern to go for a headphone keeper. Finally, I came up with the most potential one for a good look, and seemingly - a practical use. I can't promise this one will work out 'very well' for now... I'm going to use it to see if it really works for this purpose then I will make another one for you, E.M. :o)
To make one, it takes you to sew for about half an hour. Then filling up this little donut with polyester fabric (which you make it into small puffy pieces). Pick the fabric and color you like and make one for your headphone. Keep it nice, keep it thick, keep it yours - you'll proud of this little soft and stylish device.

It's not just a bag

It's not just a bag. Well, it technically is a bag, but I call it that way because it's not just a bag. I started made this back when I got to write my thesis which caused me a lot of stress and tiredness to my brain. I took a break every a few hours to sew this bag and it had been a month to finish it. For any friends who might be worrying about my work, well I first finished my thesis and later on --the bag. :o)

iPod Keeper
Another small bag, easy to make, simple style, low cost, but high value I made, hehe. :o) For a specific need, I made it for my iPod touch. Well, I was just thinking and writing something about green and being friendly to environment and low carbon stuff and activities. But this is something I doubt about, all techno equipment that are produced leaving toxic waste and polluting nature. Weighing in my heart, I hope that it would not be too bad to keep this joy, but stay being careful and considerate to use all things, always.

Naomi's new buddy

I was thinking of doing some things for my best friend, Naomi, to give her as a present before her leaving to the States. As she wants to have a sporty bag to keep her stuff going to a gym, so I decided to make one for her. Well, though, the material I chose doesn't fit well to prevent it being stained and wet, the color and design are nice. She likes it too and she actually helps with the design. :o) Now she is living in NY, I miss her very much and hope that while she is walking to work or else where the bag is with her; to make her happy and feel warm at heart. I think Bangkok misses her, well well... we all miss her.
31.12.10
Today is December 31st:
Someone told me that the first day of new year is just another day, as like another day before and another ahead. However, I would like to still keep up with my personal traditional and annually mission to write something to farewell the passing year and to welcome a coming new year.
Taking some time to sit and write of what I think about myself and my world, of what I have learned and what I am going to do for the next year becomes my routine for the past five years. The supreme goal is to reexamine my past 365 days, and kinda make an agreement or a promise to myself to do something in 365 days to come.
Year 2010: it was somewhat an education year for me, the year of studying and trying to understand to adapt myself to a new environment. I had been living in Bangkok for a year, I wasn't happy at all at first, the only thing I kept going with my life was the thought of getting out this place real soon. Suffering was not able to describe my feeling, I did feel sad inside and nothing could fix that until I started to think differently, positively.
Everyday I wake up and walk to school, I found that it is just a walk but such a relaxing and wonderful time during the whole day. I talked to people along the way to school, I touched the trees, I smiled to the building and I greeted the sidewalk. My world in Bangkok began to change, actually, my perception about this city had changed, my mind opened to see things as they are. I was happy again.
I never like my university, I do not like Bangkok, but why I applied to study here? I do not know. However, it appears to me clearer that everything happens for reasons. I chose and I lived with it, I made a decision and I was responsible for that. I can't complain. That's how it goes. I might not be always happy for what I chose or whatever happened in my life, but I do believe that leads me to something. 'Something' that I can cultivate and take the best out of it, to learn, to face, to have, to lose, or to get through with it.
For a year, I grew such a good feeling from talking and interacting with people in my neighborhood. Almost every single day I will walk out from my room and buy a bottle of urban herb juice. A granpa who is standing there selling juice since he was 17 year-old, now he's 73, his smile and greetings lightens my days. Yes, I buy a bottle of that juice, and I also get to talk to him and get to know more about this neighborhood back in tens years ago - long before I was born and came here. He didn't let me taking photos at all. But after days and days I walked and greeted, and bought some herb juice, finally I got his wonderful smile.
