Ca` Phe^ Sua~ Da'

My latest trip to Can Tho city in Mekong Delta, Vietnam, was nice. It was my first time visiting Vietnam. I always wanted to go and my dream came true. Most of my friends kept telling me that Vietnamese coffee is very good, so I tried and I love it.

Wikipedia describes that “Ca phe sua da or cafe sua da (Vietnamese: cà phê sữa đá) is a unique Vietnamese coffee recipe. Literally, the name means "milk coffee with ice". In northern Vietnam, it is also called ca phe nau da (Vietnamese: cà phê nâu đá), meaning "iced brown coffee". Ca phe sua da can be made simply by mixing brewed black coffee with about a quarter to a half as much sweetened condensed milk and then pouring it over ice.”

People might have a different favorite taste of coffee. For me, I’m not sure, but I much prefer the bitter taste of Arabica coffee. Normally, I love to have some iced milk coffee: Latte, Cappuccino, with only little of sugar or none. Hot black coffee is some times good, for having in the morning or after dinner.

This Vietnam trip was so much fun, besides enjoying the beauty of Mekong River, city and people. I also enjoyed iced milk coffee and I think I can’t really feel enough for it. Although I know that it will make me cannot sleep at night, I have about two-three cups per day. Well, people say that it’s not good for my bone, and I should better go for some hot tea. I still love coffee. And from this trip, a Vietnamese word I will not forget is Ca` Phe^ Sua~ Da'.
